Dr. Enio Clark de Oliveira, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is the founder of Conversa Linguistics and a nationally certified, Texas-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with over a decade of clinical experience. With a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in São Paulo, Brazil, a Master’s degree in Bilingual Speech Pathology from Texas Christian University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Texas, Dr. Oliveira brings both academic rigor and deep practical expertise to his work.
He founded Conversa Linguistics to meet the growing need for high-quality, culturally responsive diagnostic services across schools, daycares, and communities in Texas. His areas of expertise include bilingual language development, speech sound disorders, and interdisciplinary collaboration—making him a trusted resource for educators, clinicians, pediatricians, and families alike.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Oliveira serves as a mentor and supervisor to emerging professionals and is a strong advocate for evidence-based practice and equity in communication services.
Beyond his professional life, Dr. Oliveira is a proud husband to Valine and a devoted father to three children: Austin, a mischievous two-year-old; Mila, a passionate 13-year-old volleyball player; and Yuri, a college freshman embarking on his next chapter.

No, you can contact us directly—no referral is needed.
Conversa Linguistics is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly, which allows us to provide quicker and more flexible service without the delays of insurance approval. However, we are happy to provide you with a superbill—an itemized receipt that includes the necessary information for you to submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed, and we recommend checking with your insurance provider to confirm your benefits for speech and language evaluations and services. If needed, we can assist you with understanding how to use your superbill to file a claim.
Let us know if you would like a superbill after your session—we’re here to support you.
Our company focuses exclusively on diagnostic assessments and consultations. We do not provide ongoing therapy but can refer you to trusted providers if needed.
We offer evaluations in daycare centers, private preschools, or online (HIPAA-compliant tele-evaluations). School district contracts may include on-site services.
You will receive a detailed written report with test results, clinical impressions, diagnostic conclusions, and individualized recommendations to support the child’s communication needs.
Yes. Our reports are professionally written by fully licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) who hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA. Each report includes standardized test scores, clinical observations, and evidence-based recommendations that can support eligibility discussions and service planning with your child’s school team.
Absolutely. You may share the evaluation report with any professional supporting your child’s development. Upon request, we can also send it directly to them with your written permission.
While we do not diagnose autism or developmental disabilities, our assessments can help identify communication patterns that are consistent with these conditions and support referrals to appropriate specialists if needed.
It is never too early to have your child’s language skills evaluated if you have concerns. Early communication develops rapidly, and speech-language pathologists are trained to assess language development in children as young as 12 months old—sometimes even earlier in special cases.
Here’s a general guide:
The earlier we assess and identify communication needs, the better the outcomes tend to be.
At Conversa Linguistics, we offer evaluations for children from toddlers through school-age, tailored to their developmental stage and your specific concerns.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
