A: No. Conversa Linguistics specializes exclusively in evaluations and parent consultations. We do not offer ongoing therapy services. However, we maintain a list of trusted clinics and professionals for treatment and are happy to provide referrals upon request.

At Conversa Linguistics, we provide clear, independent assessments that help parents, educators, and clinicians understand a child’s communication strengths and needs. Our reports are ideal for guiding next steps, supporting accurate diagnosis, and sharing with schools or therapy providers to inform treatment.

Additionally, if you disagree with the results of a school district evaluation, we can serve as an external source of expertise by providing a second opinion through a private, unbiased evaluation.

A: No referral is required. You can schedule an evaluation with us directly.

A: We offer flexible service options, including at-home evaluations, daycare visits, and tele-assessments via secure video platform.

A: We do not accept insurance directly, but we can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

A: We offer evaluations and consultations in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Our clinicians are bilingual or trilingual and trained in culturally responsive assessment practices to ensure accurate and respectful evaluations across languages.

A: We evaluate children and young adults (ages 0–21) who may be experiencing a wide range of communication challenges. This includes individuals who:

• Have articulation or speech sound disorders (difficulty pronouncing certain sounds clearly)
   
• Struggle with language development, including understanding or expressing ideas
   
• Are diagnosed with or suspected of having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
   
• Have Down Syndrome or other developmental or genetic conditions
   
• Are impacted by medical conditions that affect speech or language (e.g., hearing loss, cleft palate, neurological differences)
   
• Come from bilingual or multilingual backgrounds where language development needs to be assessed carefully
   
• Show signs of social communication difficulties or delays in play, interaction, or conversational skills
   
• Experience fluency issues such as stuttering, or voice differences
   

We tailor each evaluation to the child’s unique background, strengths, and needs—offering culturally responsive, evidence-based assessments to support the next steps in care or intervention.

A: Yes. Conversa Linguistics partners with speech clinics and private practices that need evaluations in Spanish or Portuguese. If your clinic does not have a bilingual or trilingual evaluator on staff, we can provide comprehensive assessments to support your clients and treatment planning.
